The Great Mosque An Nur Pekanbaru


The Great Mosque (Masjid Agung An Nur) was built on 27th of Rajab, 1388 H or coincides with October 19th, 1968. According to the information from mosque leaders, when we see from the side of the building in this mosque, it has many influences from Malay architecture, Arabic, Turkish and Indian. When it is looked at night with the spotlight, the great mosque will be showing the beauty and magnificent buildings that have been built in 1966 which was inaugurated in 1968 by Arifin Ahmad "Riau Governor at that time. An- Nur Great Mosque has facilities for office space, meeting rooms, a ballroom that is often used for a community party and religious schools as a place to learn Qur’an and religion. The supporting facilities such as wifi entice teenagers to relax using the facilities there.

The largest mosque in Riau Province is located in the center of the city of Pekanbaru. This mosque is a magnificent building with big pillars in it.
