Selat Baru Beach, Bengkalis Regency

Selat Baru Beach is the second most beautiful beach in Bengkalis after North Rupat beach. The name of Selat Baru was taken from the name of village where this beach is located, Selat Baru village, which is also the capital of Bantan district. The government of Bengkalis regency made that beach as a main tourism attraction. It’s real this area held beach party every year.  At the event held various competitions, such as Jong boat race, gasing, and kites. The visitors can also watch a variety of art culture attractions and traditional culture of the area.

Selat Baru beach has a stretch gently sloping beach soft sand along 2 kilometers. Ocean waves on this beach are relatively stable, not more than 1 meter, except at the north wind season. From this place the blue refracts of Ledang Mountain in Malaysia. Reputedly, on the mountain that Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat fought. While enjoying the wind sea waves from Malacca strait, the presence of sea eagles that flew up to catch fish, it became an interesting view for visitors.
