Komodo Island is located in the province of East Nusa Tenggara, precisely in the district of Komodo, West Manggarai regency. Komodo Island is the most brat tip of the province of NTT, which borders the province of West Nusa Tenggara.

Komodo Island is located in the province of East Nusa Tenggara, precisely in the district of Komodo, West Manggarai regency. Komodo Island is the most brat tip of the province of NTT, which borders the province of West Nusa Tenggara.

National park of Komodo is the home of the unique and rare Komodo Dragon(Varanus komodoensis). Because of the unique and rare nature of this animal, it was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986.

Komodo dragons live and thrive on this island. There are about 1,300 thousand. There are around Komodo dragons in Komodo Island, where all of them are estimated to total 2,500 birds.

In 2009, Komodo National Park was named a finalist of the New Seven Wonderf of Nature which was later announced in 2010 by voting on the website www.n7w.com

Komodo Island is also famous for its natural beauty that has been worldwide. Not just popular with the habitat of the komodo, the sea is also very charming.

Beside that, the Komodo island has a rich and amazing underwater sea biotica. Many divers said Komodo waters are one of the best diving sites in the world. We can find 385 species of beautiful corals, mangrove forest, and seaweeds as a home of thousands fish species.
